WHITE DEATH

This is certainly a tale for our nervous new millennium, and David Thorpe’s narration keeps one on the edge. It’s easy to become gripped by the chilling scenario that runs throughout this thriller, set in various locations in the United Kingdom. Thorpe portrays all the regional accents with a smooth vocal dexterity. The story centers on one of our newest nightmare scenarios—the use of biological weapons—and the desperate struggle to produce vaccines against diseases possibly stored in a laboratory on the other side of the world.
