WHIPLASH

by | Read by Paul Costanzo, Renee Raudman

Mystery & Suspense • 12 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2010

In the latest in Coulter’s series of FBI thrillers, married agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock are once again locked in a deadly confrontation with evil, this time with an international flair. A multinational drug firm conspires to keep a great old cancer drug off the market to increase the sales of a more recent, expensive, substitute. The tag team of Paul Costanzo and Renée Raudman is superb. They practically bring the life of a full-cast recording to this otherwise unremarkable work. They’re vocal handoffs are spot-on, and Raudman manages the kids’ voices effortlessly. Their pacing is so good the listener can hear the improvement it brings to the story. Where the dialogue slows down to a crawl they add just the right push to keep it going. M.C. © AudioFile 2010, Portland, Maine [Published: SEPTEMBER 2010]
