The TARDIS—a time/spaceship disguised as a British police call box—lands on a partially desolate planet. It’s carrying the second Doctor and his two companions, Zoe (female) and Jamie (male). There they find a primitive society that has been dominated for more than a thousand years by an alien race with robotic inclinations. As frequently happens in “Doctor Who” episodes, the status quo is intolerable and is, therefore, attacked. (There’s no Prime Directive here.) With an actress from the original TV version supplying a narration, the audio version, with its great actors, sound effects, and musical enhancement, could hardly be better. It also has an interview with Frazer Hines, who plays Jamie. This production is just plain fun—whether or not the listener is a "Doctor Who" fan.
