THE COLD KISS

A young couple, down on their luck, is snowed in at a remote motel with two million in cash that they’ve “borrowed” from a mysteriously ill fellow traveler. The power’s out, the snow keeps falling, and behind the motel there’s a meth lab run by a crazy right-to-lifer. As everybody waits for the snowplows to clear an escape route, the body count begins—and then keeps rising. This first-person story is told from the point of view of a young ex-con, and some listeners may wish for a narrator with less polish and more vocal grit than Paul Michael Garcia.
