THE RUFUS CHRONICLE: ANOTHER AUTUMN

Gusewelle, a longtime columnist for the Kansas City Star, describes the relationship he had with his remarkable Brittany spaniel, Rufus. The twelve years he had with this spunky hunting dog contained frustration, joy and pride. Blessed with strong natural instincts, Rufus was a bird dog without equal, and he provided Gusewelle with many thrilling hunts. Claffey’s voice is so smooth and rich it can easily lull the listener to sleep. He makes Gusewelle sound like a very nice man ruled by a strong-willed dog.
