RULES OF THE WILD

This somewhat trashy, cliché-ridden, soft-core romance is narrated by a beautiful, world-weary young "citizeness" of the world who escapes from jaded Europe to sensuous Kenya. The echoes of Isak Dinesen (OUT OF AFRICA) and Beryl Markham (WEST WITH THE NIGHT) are intentional. One either likes this sort of thing, or one doesn't. As for the performer, Penelope Anne Miller does one very exceptional thing: She gives the vivid impression of sweaty heat.
