One can hardly go wrong with this. The characterizations are similar to those of the television series, with the actor who plays the Old Bailey hack, Horace Rumpole, being properly irascible and querulous while mumbling humorous asides that those around him sometimes choose not to hear. There are four episodes here from the BBC series. In the most famous, Rumpole finds himself at his own retirement party, never having considered retiring and not willing to do it now. The other actors have their parts down pat, too, as formidable and hapless and confused as the scenes demand. This is a humorous and entertaining production.
