RULES OF BETRAYAL

This is the third exciting novel in the author’s Rules series, featuring Jonathan Ransom, sometimes surgeon for Doctors without Borders and sometimes unwilling operative for a shadowy U.S. spy organization called Division. A simple plotline with a multitude of characters, accents, and cultures demands complex voicings, and Paul Michael delivers beautifully. He moves between tense interpersonal interactions and breakneck combat with impeccable pacing. He also delivers the underlying anxiety of the main characters with dramatic flair.
