NIGHTFALL

“You're going to hell, Jack Nightingale!” These words haunt the private detective of this story as his life is turned upside down. This surprisingly entertaining listen, with an unlikely plot involving saving souls from the devil, could have been taken into the realm of horror pastiche with the wrong narration. Instead, narrator Paul Thornley proves the perfect choice for Stephen Leather's writing. Thornley delivers a story that combines wit and suspense and grips the listener's attention throughout. He brings the characters alive using inflection and accents that make them likable and believable.
