BESTIARY

A thoughtful collection of poems about ordinary and not so ordinary animals, this anthology is both spiritual and meditative. Most of the poems are not rhyming, but they're lyrical and show great appreciation for the animal kingdom. Although Mitchell selected an excellent representation of animal poems, especially the ones about the more exotic animals, his reading drones. His low voice is a strain to hear at times.
