The ghoulish compilation of 13 macabre tales starts with a Sookie Stackhouse adventure, “Two Blondes,” written by Charlaine Harris and performed with zest by Amanda Ronconi. Ronconi nails Sookie's guileless charm, frank irony, sardonic humor, and cheery attitude in her romps with demonic friends and foes. She also portrays other characters with an impressive array of accents. These are so true to life that one might imagine a full cast had entered the scene. Also performing stories is Christopher Lane, who shines with a Southern accent full of wit and innocence and then switches to spooky menace as the undead enter the scene.
