Ten years ago, Meg Clark's husband, her high school sweetheart, left her after he learned she was pregnant. Since then, Meg has focused on raising her son, Henry, and on teaching kindergarten. She has been comfortable with her routine and her rule of no dating—until a chance meeting with the handsome Ahmed Bourhani forces her to consider opening her long-closed heart. Julia Whelan's enthusiastic narration fits the genre of light women's fiction but is sometimes more suited to the voices of the children and the story’s happier moments than to the scenes in which Meg deals with her lack of trust.
