DARK ROAD TO DARJEELING

On her honeymoon, Lady Julia Grey finds herself in the Himalayas with her husband, Brisbane, a detective. He’s been sent there to investigate the plantation owner’s suspicious death. The setting is one of intrigue, with a man-eating tiger on the loose as well as a long list of possible suspects. Narrator Ellen Archer dives into the story with abandon and is clearly enjoying herself with the rich cast of characters, including an upper-crust English spinster, a disheveled Welsh doctor, and the White Rajah, a charismatic hermit who lives in a nearby monastery.
