After plowing through all 12+ hours of this audiobook, the listener may wonder if it was underwritten by Harvard Business School (HBS), as suggested by its subtitle: “How Three Harvard Business School Graduates Learned the 10 Rules of Successful Entrepreneurship.” Narrators Fred Berman and L.J. Ganser split the narration, chapter by chapter, with one delivering the true-life accounts of three entrepreneurs who attended HBS while the other delivers the theoretical lessons to be learned from attending HBS. The setup is smart, and the stories are interesting, but for some entrepreneurs the overall effect may be exhausting. Author Bill Murphy provides the 10 rules for success—as expected from such tomes—but his major point seems to be that HBS training is essential and if you can’t get into HBS, well . . . you can always read about people who did.
