THE BOY WHO CLIMBED INTO THE MOON

Paul is a reticent lad who takes a day off from school to climb from his parents’ basement apartment to the rooftop to touch the sky. Who would imagine that he could set off such a chain reaction of fantastical events? As Paul’s courage grows, so does the volume of Anne Flosnik’s voice, but a tremor still emerges when he actually reaches the moon—via a ladder and a lot of help. There he meets a formidable girl shot from a cannon, who returns home with him. The quirky adults Paul encounters are voiced in tones ranging from squeaky to booming.
