SITUATION TRAGEDY

The hero of this series, Charles Paris, is a mediocre character actor and a hard-drinking amateur detective. When an array of horrible accidents besets the taping of a situation comedy, Charles's detective instincts are aroused, and the mystery unfolds. With his smooth British accent, Simon Prebble shifts effortlessly from Charles to players as diverse as septuagenarian Dame Aurelia Howerth and young, flirtatious technical assistant Jane while still keeping them all well defined for the reader.
