SIX FEET UNDER

Simpson's mysteries of the exploits of Superintendent Luke Thanet are generally mild-mannered and beguiling. This title is no exception as Thanet sorts through suspects and neighbors in the murder of a neighborhood "snoop." What is exceptional is Terrence Hardiman's performance. His narration adds dimension to each of the characters no matter how minor. Hardiman enhances this assortment of ordinary and bizarre characters with careful pacing of speech and intonation. The care and professionalism of his performance are evident. This is a fine of example of how a narrator can elevate a modest text. R.F.W.
