If "Cinderella"," Sleeping Beauty," "Hop O'My Thumb," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Ricky with the Tuft," "Donkey Skin" or "Puss in Boots" are fairy tales to your liking, then this is the recording for you. These classics by Charles Perrault demonstrate a rich use of language. Unfortunately, Carolyn Noone offers a monotonous pace and little characterization. Listeners unfamiliar with the graphic, abusive and violent nature of Perrault's classics might be uncomfortable listening to them.
