FATES WILL FIND THEIR WAY

Sixteen-year-old Nora Lindell disappeared one Halloween night. The boys who thought they loved her are now men with their own teenage children. As they imagine what became of Nora, we learn how their own lives have been affected by that event a lifetime ago. Narrator Scott Shepherd relates all the maybes and what-ifs that swirl in their imaginations. Like those old “Choose Your Adventure” tales that let readers decide the path of the story, the novel leads listeners down multiple roads that envision what became of Nora Lindell. Shepherd’s narration is detached, a tone that belies the fact that Nora’s mysterious disappearance is still defining the men’s lives and imprisoning them in adolescence.
