CONFESSIONS OF A CAFFEINE ADDICT 40 True Anonymous Stories

by | Read by Sarianna Gregg

Personal Growth • 6 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2011

This audiobook may leave some listeners hesitant to have another cup of coffee. Chock-full of stories about people and their extreme experiences of caffeine overload, the collection can serve as a warning against addictive substances. However, the stories sometimes have the possibility of estranging listeners. The more alarming stories treat caffeine use as a gateway to heroin and cocaine, a path that certainly is an exception, not the rule. Sarianna Gregg sounds like she’s showcasing her vocal talents as she delivers as many different voices as possible for the characters. Her narration can be enjoyable but more often proves distracting as it calls attention to itself. L.E. © AudioFile 2011, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2011]
