THE CHOSEN ONE

Maggie Costello, White House foreign policy adviser, tries to untangle a plot to destroy the reputation of the president just two months into his administration. Unseen villains unleash the media on an unsuspecting public. Adam Sims narrates in a gravelly voice. His subtle Irish accents vary and sometimes disappear, and his other accents tend to be flat or abrasive. The present is tangled with the past as Maggie and others search for the truth about the president’s life before he gained office.
