Mystery & Suspense • 10 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2011

Harlan Coben continues the adventures of Myron Bolitar, failed basketball star turned agent and occasional adventurer. The tenth Bolitar novel does a deep dive into the character’s past through his search for his long-lost brother and the brother’s strung-out wife. Steven Weber deftly handles the narration, especially in his portrayals of the novel’s kooky characters, with their varied backgrounds, diverse accents, and unusual voices. One such character is the monstrous former lady wrestler. Weber also keeps the book moving through the rare slow passages, such as Coben’s attempts to be cute when describing twin Asian lovers Mee and Yu.
