Here’s the perfect story for anyone who ever adored 1970s teen idol David Cassidy. Narrator Sian Thomas is perfect as Petra, a Cassidy-obsessed teen from South Wales. Thomas is also convincing as Bill, a university graduate from London whose ultimate shame is being a writer for “The Essential David Cassidy Magazine.” The great cast of characters gives Thomas the chance to shine with an array of accents that add even more charm to the sweet, nostalgic story of Bill and Petra. The romantic ending is followed by Thomas’s reading of the author’s fascinating 2004 interview with David Cassidy. If only we could have heard the actual interview!
