Sandra Burr's reading of Buchanan's latest crime novel, again featuring ace investigative reporter Britt Montero, is as fast-paced and riveting as the hurricane that takes place midway through the novel. As Britt searches for the clue to a series of missing boys and the apparent lost diary of her Cuban father, executed by Castro's henchmen, Burr's changes of rhythm and Spanish accents enrich the story. This fine reading captures the cultural diversity of the great city of Miami portrayed in the guise of fiction by this Pulitzer Prize-winning author.
