The third tale in Caldwell’s Pig Trilogy has ghosts and droll humor—two ingredients for a good Irish tale. This third installment doesn’t require knowledge of the previous books as Caldwell does a good job of filling one in on past events. Chris Patton tells the tale with a unique delivery that sounds enthusiastic but doesn’t really engage. He ably employs a passable Irish accent in the dialogue, but the long convoluted sentences make one’s head spin. In the end, one may not be sure what it all means—and may not care.
