THE LAST STRIPTEASE

Former cop and tough guy P.I. Joe Kozmarski is getting shot at, threatened, chased, and worked over as he tries to solve the murders of a porn actress and bookstore owner. At the same time, he is temporarily caring for his precocious 11-year-old nephew, who wants to help fight crime and solve mysteries, too. Johnny Heller perfectly captures this less-than-perfect man with a deep voice that conveys just the right combination of bravado, irony, and toughness. Changing his pace and intonation, Heller is equally adept in his portrayal of the lesser characters, especially the nephew. A slick, fast-paced whodunit.
