SAFE FROM THE SEA

David Aaron Baker’s narration is a perfect complement to Peter Geye’s exquisite language as he immerses the listener in this story of redemption. As narrator, Baker’s delivery is well paced, letting the listener easily follow a saga that moves from past to present and back again. Olaf Torr has the gruff, raspy voice of an ailing old man who hopes to reconnect with his estranged son before it’s too late. Son Noah’s voice is well nuanced as he and his father tentatively wend their way through memories of disaster, pain, blame, and neglect to find the love that binds them.
