JEANNIE OUT OF THE BOTTLE

Actress Barbara Eden is best known for her title role in the 1960s TV show “I Dream of Jeannie.” Despite some repetition and disconcerting jumps backward and forward in time—which Eden dubs “Jeannie-blinks”—she recounts her story with dignity and frankness, sharing details of her early show business career, her stillborn child, her drug-addicted second husband, and the accidental death of her adult son.
