Jan Kinney presents a truly haunting collection of stories with a sweet melancholy which echoes throughout. These are not scary stories, but tales that return in and out of memory. They have a subtle, hard-to-forget quality. The female folk hero Sweet Annie should be a favorite. Kinney's clear, melodic voice combines songs with the stories to excellent effect.
