GOD, NO! Signs You May Already Be an Atheist and Other Magical Tales

Penn Jillette, the tall half of the magic/comedy team Penn and Teller, sounds like a half-mile of bad road when narrating his latest audiobook. Alternately fascinating and annoying, the book espouses Jillette's philosophy of atheism. But while someone like Bill Maher makes his points with gentle comedy, Jillette smashes the listener in the face. He could use a lesson in diplomacy. The book flops around the banks of its stream-of-consciousness structure. When he’s not trying to shock the listener, he's a pretty funny guy. Overall, though, his delivery is an obscene juggernaut of profanity and outrageous sexual braggadocio. He's so over-the-top that it's doubtful he’s made many converts to atheism.
