BLACK WIDOWER

by | Read by Donada Peters

Mystery & Suspense • 7 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1975

Experienced reader Donada Peters does a thoroughly professional job in this production. The result is an enjoyable, pleasant, if somewhat dated, mystery set in Washington, DC, and the fictional Caribbean country of Tampica in 1975. Chief Superintendent Tibbet and his wife head a multi-national cast of characters whose varying accents and characters are well-differentiated by the narrator. The only jarring notes are the consistently British pronunciations of American place names (like Potomac) and the sometimes painful interpretations of American accents (especially Southern drawls).
