SISTERHOOD EVERLASTING

Ann Brashares and narrator Angela Goethals reintroduce the beloved members of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as they enter their thirties. The pants are long gone. Carmen, Lena, Tibby, and Bee are separated by thousands of miles, and that distance tugs at their heartstrings. When a surprise reunion is orchestrated by Tibby, everyone is ecstatic about finally being back together, but a series of unexpected events challenges everything they thought they knew about each other. Goethals infuses humor, excitement, sadness, and longing into the girls’ voices as the chapters unfold from alternating points of view. Goethals’s nuanced tones are well matched to the matured personalities of the girls and help to wrap up the series in a way that will leave listeners duly moved, if not fully satisfied.
