THE MAN WHO FOLDED HIMSELF

by | Read by Charles Bice

Science Fiction • 4.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1973

In a strong voice that has a slight rasp, Charles Bice embodies Daniel, a college dropout who has been given a time-traveling belt. In this classic sci-fi story, Gerrold explores the myriad contradictions possible with time travel. Charles Bice’s voice works well for Daniel’s journey from novice time traveler to master of time. His female voices leave something to be desired—but there are few females in the story. He believably becomes Daniel and successfully projects the character’s developing maturity through his tone—initially uncertain and expressing trepidation, later more confident and deliberate.
