THE INNOVATION SECRETS OF STEVE JOBS

by | Read by Sean Mangan

Business & Finance • 8.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2011

The author of THE PRESENTATION SECRETS OF STEVE JOBS has written a well-organized and sometimes naïve profile of the philosophies that helped create the “Think Different” company—Apple Inc. Although Jobs’s seven principles of innovation are discussed at great length, little depth of analysis or further insight beyond the familiar tenets is in evidence. Further, Gallo’s tone toward Jobs is too reverential to be objective, and his tone toward the listener is professorial. Narrator Sean Mangan’s English intonation is occasionally distracting. But his pace is appropriate for the content, and his limited characterizations work well. The slightly whispery quality of the narration has an intimate feel. Marketing and technology enthusiasts will likely enjoy this work, despite the familiarity of the material presented. W.A.G. © AudioFile 2011, Portland, Maine [Published: DECEMBER 2011]
