THERE'S A BOY IN THE GIRLS' BATHROOM

by | Read by Lionel Wilson

Children Ages 10+ • 4 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1989

Fifth-grader Bradley Chalkers, bane of both teachers and students at Red Hill School, approaches the school counselor hesitantly. Reluctance gives way to genuine love and trust, however, as Bradley's self-esteem soars under Carla's tutelage in this heart-warming and uproarious novel. Despite Wilson's reedy voice, the fully characterized reading is generally successful. The chorus of voices attributed to Bradley's collection of toy animals is superbly executed. On the other hand, Carla's voice and inflection are short of believable, but involved listeners will quickly overlook this. This audiobook is a good choice for intermediate grades.
