THE TITANIC TRAGEDY

by | Read by Dave Bodin

History • 1 hr. • Audio Program • ©

An historical vignette of the sinking of the Titanic is presented through first-person accounts and commentary from published material of the time. The accounts are brief and interesting but don't provide any depth of information. Bodin's narration is clear, and the pace remains constant throughout. This is not a dramatization, but recollections and statements presented in context. Bodin presents brief characterizations for some of the eye-witnesses and does a good job with the rhetoric of the Senate committee's investigation report. This audio lesson may well encourage listeners to read additional material. R.F.W. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC 92]
