In the early days of flying machines, there was stiff competition between airplanes and gliders. Breeze Callaghan must convince the Navy to adopt the “soaring ships” that fly the wind noiselessly. With the air streaming through the struts, the glider swoops and swerves as it imitates birds. Badger O'Dowell, a ruthless competitor, will do anything to foil Breeze’s plans. Craggy-voiced Pop promotes every scheme he can to finance the suave and determined Breeze’s dreams.
