THE TRIALS OF RUMPOLE

On the familiar British television import, "Rumpole of the Bailey," Leo McKern plays the famous barrister as irascible, manipulating, honest, human, and in continual revolt against "She-who-must-be-obeyed." In this audio version, narrator Tull provides a querulous and curmudgeonly voice to Rumpole as he deals with various scoundrels. The voice suits well, and his other characters are nicely nuanced.
