This gunslinging Western is narrated with authority by Terence Aselford and a full cast. The action is stark and sometimes brutal. It’s the end of the Civil War, and Nathan Stone returns to his home in Virginia to find his family savagely murdered by Northern renegades. Pursuing the killers, he experiences all manner of privation until he finally finds a friend. Danny Gavigan and Yasmin Tuazon portray Nathan and Eli, a woman disguised as a teenage boy running from her own brutal past. The story is continually enhanced by the narrators’ Southern accents and the lifelike jangling spurs, cocking pistols, galloping horses, and lonely strains of steel guitar.
