ADMISSION

The elite college admissions process is explored with searing insights. Narrator Colleen Werthmann portrays Portia, who has been an admissions officer at Princeton for 16 years. Werthmann powerfully captures Portia's wonder, regret, and rage as a life of "building a better fruit basket" for universities takes its toll. She articulates Portia's paradoxical feelings about the weighty decisions she must make as well as her awe of some of the amazing applicants and her weariness of others.
