The performances of celebrated actors are recorded live at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City. Julie Harris and Richard Kiley are outstanding in portraying the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Unfortunately, the selections are marred in several places by poor sound quality (perhaps as the performers move out of microphone range on stage). VICTORIA magazine is to be commended for offering this live performance in the audio format. However, the work is so beautifully presented that I would have preferred a reading without an audience.
