Susan Hammond has added another triumph to her series of audio programs which portray classical composers. To the company of Beethoven, Mozart and Bach, Vivaldi is now added. Vivaldi and his music are presented through the eyes of a young orphan girl who comes to a music school in Venice. A stolen violin and the masks of Carnival add to a mystery. Vivaldi's music weaves in and out of the tale and perfectly matches each selection. Orchestra and chorus add splendid sound to the selection. Not enough can be said about the appeal of the Classical Kids series to children and adults alike. It offers an inspiring introduction to each composer with excellent music and spoken word in combination. R.F.W. Winner of AUDIOFILE Earphones Award ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JAN 94]
