While waiting for jury selection, Caroline Lomax bumps into Ted Thomasson, who was a nerd when they were teenagers. Kate Rudd narrates JURY OF HIS PEERS, switching smoothly from a melodious delivery of narrative to tones of Caroline’s simultaneous disdain and attraction for Ted and Ted’s frustration with Caroline. Rudd does a particularly good job of creating an element of surprise and tension as Caroline and Ted flee an anonymous pursuer. In the second piece, ANY SUNDAY, Rudd maintains her soothing tone, providing fresh voices for the sarcastic, high-maintenance female patient who falls in love with the ever-patient, handsome doctor with an irresistible bedside manner.
