BLACK HEART is the final book in Holly Black’s Curse Workers trilogy, about a young former assassin who's trying to go straight. Jesse Eisenberg’s performance throughout the series can be described in two words: unwavering charm. Eisenberg’s portrayal of Cassel Sharpe hinges on turning the character’s self-doubt and self-deprecation into endearing qualities. Eisenberg accomplishes this with perfectly timed hesitation and an occasionally tremulous voice that is convincingly sincere, vulnerable, and seductive.
