GHOST KNIGHT

Elliot Hill delivers a wistful, atmospheric ghost tale set in Salisbury, England. Twelve-year-old Jon Hartgill displays a truculent attitude as he adjusts to boarding school. But Jon's priorities change when a murderous ghost attacks him. To save himself, Jon seeks help from the ghost of William Longspee, half-brother of Richard the Lionheart. Hill's phrasing adds clarity to a rich historical narrative. And his sad tone contributes to the overall somber mood. The production concludes with an author's note narrated by Funke herself.
