DIARY OF A MAD FAT GIRL

Graciela "Ace" Jones, a slightly overweight kick-ass art teacher, lives in Bugtussle, Mississippi, with her dog, Buster Loo Bluefeather. Ace has been in love with hunky Mason McKenzie most of her life. This fast-paced romp lives up to the promise of its title. Cassandra Campbell doesn’t even try for a Southern accent for the main characters and gives them little vocal differentiation. Instead, she relies on the story and her acting chops, which are considerable, to carry the day. The result is a fun and witty bit of chick-lit.
