In its own words, this program celebrates the two-hundredth anniversary of the Bill of Rights. It dramatizes the adoption of the Constitution, the addition of the Bill of Rights and the later addition of Amendments to the Constitution, which secured rights for previously excluded Americans. The script is lively and interesting because it simulates situations that might have occurred, rather than presenting lectures or readings of long quotes. Performing the dramatizations is a "dream team" of actors including James Earl Jones, Jill Eikenberry, Lloyd Bridges, Harry Hamlin, Ed Asner and Tom Bosley. Production quality is superb, but the script could certainly use additional historical information to explain the Amendments to the Constitution.
