Two TIME magazine editors present unadorned insights into the professional relationships between Johnson/Eisenhower, Truman/Hoover, Obama/Clinton, and others. The former presidents provided unique points of view as well as sometimes being sources of frustration to the sitting presidents. Bob Walter provides a direct and authoritative narration that is essentially without inflection or emotion. His style is that of a media anchorman. While his gravitas is well placed, his lack of enthusiasm and vocal variation leaves the listener unengaged. The material is fascinating but not well presented.
