Brice Kinross, who is nursing a broken heart, is sent to the Highlands to find out why his estate is no longer profitable. There he encounters his beautiful, red-haired housekeeper, who turns out to be the key to the mystery and just what the doctor ordered to mend his heart. Darcy is equally adept at portraying male and female characters, and her accents are well done. She makes each character sound so distinct that one is tempted to think there’s more than one narrator.
