This is a book for parents who would like to learn more about strengthening family finances—both for themselves as well as for their children. The authors are the narrators, and they infuse the text with the passion of lived experience. However, the overall effect can at times be more forceful than necessary. Annette Economides's delivery is harsh if listened to for long periods of time. Her pace is steady and her tone emphatic, a style that can leave the listener wishing for more variety. Steve Economides’s voice is a welcome change in the chapters he narrates. His smooth delivery and tenor pitch more readily convey nuances, including inflection for questions.
